Women In Leadership
Introduction
Our CPD-accredited Women in Leadership Workshop (one-day) and Conference Pass (one-day) package is designed for women in or aspiring to leadership positions.
This popular learning package focuses on the specific challenges and barriers that many women face when advancing in organisations, and presents solutions to overcome these. Combined, the workshop and conference pass give delegates a powerful learning experience, fusing together theoretical approaches with real-world experiences.
Workshop
The one-day online workshop combines opportunities to network with other delegates, and through guided facilitation unpacks challenges that can arise in leadership positions. Using a mixture of short presentations, interactive discussions, and case studies, it invites delegates to challenge some of the myths associated with leadership, management aspiration, and ambition for leaders.
Your expert workshop facilitators are Kate Cooper (former Head of Research, Policy and Standards at the Institute of Leadership & Management), and Harriet Cooper-Wall (see Tutors section). During the workshop sessions, you will be joined by guest speakers who are known for their inspiring leadership guidance.
Conference Pass
Delegates attending the workshop receive free access to the video archive for the Institute's highly-praised Progressing Women in Leadership: Harnessing Talent, Drive and Ambition conference. This conference addresses the most pressing issues for women professionals in the workplace.
It discusses how to better support women in the workplace, build the talent pipeline, and inspire the next generation of leaders. It looks at the importance of a diverse and representative workforce in the UK. Speakers include politicians, alongside successful leaders from across the public, private, and voluntary sectors.
* Note, we regularly update the video archive for this conference with new content, so the presentations listed below are subject to change.
(For delegates who attended the live version of the conference, a pass for an alternate conference recording will be offered.)
